Indians drop Series Finale to Blues, fall 11-4

The Indians failed to get the series sweep Thursday in Santa Maria, falling 11-4 to the Blues at Elks Field. Starting pitcher Diego Soto took the loss for the Indians while Ed Wakefield captured the win for the Blues.

The Indians dug themselves into an early hole, trailing by 5 runs by the end of the third inning, and could not overcome the Blues' lead. The Indians were lead offensively by DH Kyle Gerhart's solo homeun in the second, and CF Will Campbell, who reached base in all four plate appearances with a hit and 3 walks. 3B Blake Crosby was the only Indian with a multi-hit game, chipping in a pair of singles for the Indians in the loss.
