- The Santa Maria Indians lost their season opener
Tuesday night in Clovis 9-3. Starting pitcher
Justin Grota took the loss for the Indians (0-1)
after giving up six runs in the third inning.
The
Indians brought the score to 6-2 in the 5th when
Chad Conrad and Josh Meagher added RBI singles
apiece. The Indians added one more run in the
7th when Josh Meagher hit an RBI double. Meagher
went 2-5 with a double and 2 RBI. 1B Matt Bodenchcuck
went 2-5 with a double and SS Jonathan Ramirez
went 2-4 with a double.
The
Indians play Tuesday night in Clovis at 4:00pm.
