Well,
as I am sure all of you saw by now, we lost a
close war to the roaring Panthers of Crestwood.
It was a heart breaker for us as we went into
the last inning with a lead of 2-1 and ended up
losing 4-2. A loss like this can not only get
myself down because I was part of the loss but
it can also give me and the Indians an incredible
opportunity to come out tomorrow and show the
world what Santa Maria style baseball is all about.
The rumor circling around the Broadview hotel
in which us Indians are staying here in beautiful
Wichita, Kansas is that our ace John "Rocket
Roger" Thomas will be throwing so that definitely
is a smile put on the face of the Tribe.
Holden Sprague, Brendan "Aussie Kangy"
McDonald, Josh "Big Country" Walter,
and John Thomas all threw the ball well today.
The bats and defense just didn't give them the
support they needed. Tomorrow is a new day and
with a new state of mind for the Tribe, I believe
we our on our way to a huge winning streak.
Our fearless General Manager Jesse Festa has been
working the NBC phone lines all day to see what
time our game will be tomorrow and he has just
received confirmation that we play at 7:30 PM
(5:30 Tribe Time) at a nearby high school here
in Wichita. As long as it has bases and and a
ball the Indians will make any place home.
" We just need to come out and play like
a united Tribe as we have all Summer" says
shortstop Cory Morales. " A loss can really
put you down, but when you know that you still
got baseball to play you just gotta put your feathers
in your cap and play like Indians" says second
basemen and Gonzaga Bulldog Evan Wells.
I'll be back on tomorrow to give you a recap of
the action and let you know how things are going
in my daily blog. Remember
Indian fans, an Indian is one, but an Indian Tribe
is many!!! In the spirit of Wichita, I leave ya'll
with Git-R-Done Big RED!!!

What
a time to be an Indian
Hey
fellow tribe members. This is the first of what
will hopefully be many blogs here in Wichita,
Kansas. It has been an exciting trip so far for
the tribe. Arriving on Tuesday was a day later
then scheduled because of a flight delay. However,
we got here and are already 1-0.
It
was an exciting game for us as we received clutch
pitching from Nate Smith, Cody Smith, Josh "Big
Country" Walter. and our ace John Thomas.
Not to mention a walk off piece from the clutch
bat of big KG, Kyle Gerhart.
I
think the big crowd kind of intimidated our offense
a little bit but after awhile we realized that
Wichita is no different than hitting at our very
own Elks Field and we started hitting like the
Indians we are. After two days off as we prepare
for our game at 8 AM here but 6 AM Santa Maria
Tribe time. We beat the Community Bank Cowboys
and will now join forces as a tribe to face the
Crestwood Panthers.
We have had two batting practice sessions and
bullpens and believe me the bats and arms are
ready to show Wichita what Tribe baseball is all
about. Set up your tee-pee, sit Indian style,
and be in front of your computers at 6 tomorrow
morning and follow along as we face the Panthers.
Go BIG RED!!!
