1) - 6 members of the Santa Maria Indians that
finished 39-17 in the regular season and second
in the California Collegiate League at 17-7 behind
the Foresters, had six members of their summer
team named All-League. Indians starting pitcher
John Thomas was named the league's "Most
Outstanding Pitcher" with a 6-0 record and
a 1.57 era. Other pitchers named to the team was
relief pitcher Josh Walter (Texas State), who
didn't give up an earned run until the final game
of the season and starting pitcher Nate Smith
(Fresno State).
Position
players earning all-league was SS Cory Morales
(Northern Colorado) and 3B Blake Crosby (Sac State)
and OF Chase Leavitt (U. of Arkansas). Leavitt
joined the Indians halfway through the season
and topped the team with a .374 batting average.
