Thomas, Cal
Poly SLO, 2007
College Stats - In 2007 Thomas split time behind the plate for Cal Poly
SLO with 2007 Indian Wes Dorrell. He played the 2007 summer with the Maxim
Yankees before joining the Indians in late August and accompanying the team
to the NBC World Series. He will return for his senior season at Cal Poly
SLO in 2008

Kelly, Southern
Illinois University, 2007
College Stats - Kelly returned to Southern Illinois in 2007 and led his
team in hitting as a sophomore. He will play for the Salukis in 2008 as a
junior with hopes of being selected in the MLB Draft.

Morehead, UC
San Diego, 2007
College Stats - Morehead returned to UCSD in 2007 and had a solid senior
season however was not selected in the 2007 MLB Draft. We believe he is not
continuining his baseball career.

Bowman, University
of Louisiana-Monroe, 2007
College Stats - Bo Bowman, leading hitter on the
2006 Santa Maria Indians was selected in the 22nd round of the 2007 MLB Draft
by the Colorado Rockies. Bowman spent his first professional season playing
in the Pioneer League for the Casper Rockies, team of Indians owner Kevin
Haughian. 2007

Hedstrom, Fresno
State University, 2007
College Stats - Hedstrom returned to Fresno State for 2007 as a reserve
infielder and played for the Humboldt Crabs in 2007. He will return to Fresno
State in 2008 for his junior season.
- 2B Evan
Wells, Gonzaga
University, 2007
College Stats - Wells returned to the Indians in 2007 for his second summer.
He started all but 3 games for the Indians and batted .284 with 15 stolen
bases. He will return to Gonzaga as a junior and figures to be the starting
2B in 2008 with hopes of being drafted.

McGuinness, Gonzaga
University, 2007
College Stats - McGuinness capped off his college career at Gonzaga in
2007. A great defensive shortstop for the Indians in 2006 he was not selected
in the 2007 MLB Draft as a senior and has decided not to pursue professional
baseball.

Morales, Northern
Colorado University(transferred from Rio Hondo CC), 2007
College Stats - Morales returned to the Indians for his second summer
in 2007 and was third on the team with a .310 batting average and led the
team with 44 RBI. He will return to Northern Colorado in 2008 as the starting
shortstop in his senior season.

Winkelman, Cal
State Los Angeles, 2007
College Stats - Winkelman returned to Cal State LA in 2007 and batted
.329 with 8 HR and 41 RBI in his senior season but was not drafted and has
ended his playing career.

Keene, Avila
University, 2007
College Stats - Keene returned to Avila University in 2007 and had another
solid season, however was not drafted in 2007.

Horning Jr., Cal
State Los Angeles, 2007
College Stats - Horning returned to Cal State LA in 2007 and batted .296
with 17 RBIs in his senior season and has ended his baseball career.

McDaniel, Sonoma
State(transferred from Fresno CC), Current
Stats - McDaniel returned to the Indians for his second summer in 2007
and tied for the team lead with 6 homeruns. He was not drafted as a junior
from Sonoma State and will return for his senior season after being named
the 2007 Conference Newcomer of the Year.

Mittleberger, Concordia University Irvine,
Current
Stats - Mittleberger played for Hancock in 2006 and then joined
the Indians that summer. Following the summer with the Indians Mittleberger
took a year off and played summer ball for the Clarinda (Iowa) A's. For the
2008 season he signed to play for Concordia University in Irvine.

Robertson, Oregon
State University (transferred from Concordia University), 2007
College Stats - The speedy Robertson returned to Concordia University
in 2007 and had another solid season. He played the 2007 summer in the Northwoods
League and impressed several scouts, stealing for over 40 bases and leading
his team in hitting. After the summer, he transferred to the 2-time defending
national champion Oregon State Beavers where is expected to be their starting
right fielder.

State University, 2007
College Stats - Storey returned to Fresno State in 2007 and batted over
.300 with 7 homeruns. Surprisingly Storey was not drafted, however is believed
to be continuing his professional career. We will update his status when it
becomes available.

Baas, Biola
University (transferred from UNC Greensboro) , 2007
College Stats - After the 2006 summer Baas transferred to Biola University.
He pitched in 2007 and should return in 2008.
- RHP Tyler
Backus, New
Mexico State University (transferred from Yavapai College), 2007
College Stats - Backus was drafted in the 46th round by the Kansas City
Royals in 2006 after his freshman season at Yavapai College but opted to not
sign and play the summer in Santa Maria. He returned to Yavapai in 2007 and
was 7-3 with a 2.84 era on the mound. He has transferred to New Mexico State
University for the 2008 season where they have converted the junior righty
to first base.

Breckley, Fresno
State University, 2007
College Stats - Breckley returned to Fresno State in 2007 for his junior
season and had 30 appearances with a 3-1 record and a 4.58 era. Breckley will
return to Fresno State as a senior as the starting closer in 2008 with hopes
of being drafted.

City College, 2007
College Stats - Collins returned to Fresno City College in 2007 and had
a solid season, throwing 51 innings and posting a 3.16 era and a 4-1 record.
He will be a junior in 2008 and is believed to be looking to transfer from
Fresno CC. We will update his status when it becomes available.

College Stats - DeLorge returned to Hancock College for his senior season
in 2007 and saw limited action, throwing in only 8 innings. 2007 was his senior
season and he was not drafted.

State Los Angeles, 2007
College Stats - After being the Indians most dependent lefty in the summer
of 2006 Hernandez returned in 2007 to pitch in 14 games (6 starts) and compiled
a 3-1 record and 5.73 era. 2007 was his senior season and he was not drafted.

Kahn, University
of Hawaii, 2007
College Stats, (transferred from Sierra
College) - Kahn transferred after the 2006 season to the University of
Hawaii after a solid season as one of the Indians top relievers. He made only
one appearance as a junior but figures to be a key reliever for the Rainbow
Warriors in 2008, his senior season.

Kougl, South
Dakota State University, 2007
College Stats - Kougl, the Central Coast native and class act for the
Indians in his two seasons, pitched in 2007 for South Dakota State University
as a senior and put up impressive numbers, posting a 3.38 era in 19 appearances.
Kougl is not believed to be continuing his career.

State University (transferred from Sierra College), 2007
College Stats - Magee pitched for the Indians sparingly in 2006 after
finishing up his 2 years at Sierra College. He transferred in 2007 to Sac
State and saw limited time. He has made the roster in 2008 and should pitch
as a reliever for Sac State in his senior season.

State Los Angeles, 2007
College Stats - One of the best pitchers on the 2006 Indians Reyes returned
to Cal State LA in 2007 and pitched great. In 31 appearances as a reliever
Artie went 6-1 with a 2.51 era and 11 saves. He was not drafted in his senior
season.

Saito, Cal
Poly SLO, 2007
College Stats - Saito finished his 2006 summer with the Indians and returned
to Cal Poly where he was one of Coach Larry Lee's first lefty out of the pen.
He played the 2007 summer for the CCL rival Santa
Barbara Foresters). He will return to Cal Poly in 2008 with hopes of being
drafted.

College, 2007
College Stats, - Statsny returned to the Indians in 2007 for his second
summer in Santa Maria after completing his second season at Yavapai College.
At last check he was planning on transferring to a division one school for
the 2008 season.

Rosas, Yavapai
College, 2007
College Stats - Rosas was drafted in the 9th round by the Washington Nationals
in 2006 but decided not to sign and came to play for the Indians that summer.
After the summer, Rosas returned to Yavapai College and was drafted again
in 2007, this time in the 43rd round by the Texas Rangers. However, Rosas
has signed to play in the SEC for the University of Tennessee in 2008.

University, 2007
College Stats - Stewart pitched for the Indians in 2005 and 2006 serving
as their dependable closer. After the 2007 season at Avila University (Kansas)
Stewart signed
a professional contract with the Texas Rangers
- RHP Nick
Vaughn, Vanguard
University, 2007
College Stats (transferred from Texas
Tech University) - Vaughn finished up his college career after his 2007
season at Vanguard. Vaughn was a 36th round pick of the Cincinatti Reds out
of high school in 2003 and played at American River College (Sacramento) and
Texas Tech before playing 2007 at Vanguard.

Statistics
The 2006 Santa Maria Indians finished in 13th place at
the NBC World Series in Wichita, Kansas. They finished the regular season 36-17
and won the NBC Central Coast State Tournament in Santa Maria to qualify for
the World Series.In their inaugural season in the California Collegiate
League they went 24-12 to finish second behind the eventual NBC Champion Santa
Barbara Foresters.

NBC World Series
The 2006 Indians went 2-2 in the NBC World Series to finish 13th in the country.
